PURPOSE

The Timmins Food Bank is committed to protecting the privacy of our donors, volunteers, employees, and beneficiaries. We value your trust and operate in accordance with applicable Canadian privacy legislation, including PIPEDA and Ontario regulations.

PROCEDURE

We collect personal information (name, address, email, phone number, payment details) voluntarily provided to us for purposes like processing donations, issuing tax receipts and providing information about our programs.

      • Process donations and provide tax receipts
      • Provide requested information or services
      • Keep you informed about our mission and impact
      • Administer volunteer or employment records
      • Administer client records
      • Comply with legal and regulatory requirements

We do not sell, rent or trade donor lists.  Consent is obtained when you provide information and may be withdrawn at any time.  We may share information with trusted third-party service providers (e.g., payment processors) who are bound by strict confidentiality agreements.

We do not disclose any client data that could uniquely identify any client.

We protect personal information with security safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including password protection, encryption and restricted access.  Information is retained only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected.
